Behavioral Sleep Medicine is the branch of health psychology and clinical sleep medicine which studies the relationship between psychological factors and the development and maintenance of the full range of adult and pediatric sleep disorders. At this time, I'm one of only 135 clinicians worldwide and one of only 2 in the Los Angeles area who are certified by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in this specialty.

In fact, the sleeping brain is quite active as it proceeds from stage to stage and restores you physically, emotionally, and cognitively for the next day's challenges. Protecting this process is vitally important to the quality of your daytime functioning.
As a psychologist and sleep specialist, I can diagnose and treat not only the specific sleep problem you are faced with but also the stress, anxiety, and depression which often coexists.
